TSICHRITZIS VISUAL ARTS FOUNDATION. 18, KASSAVETI STR. 145 62 KIFISSIA, ATHENS

From Wednesday 8 June till Monday 13 June 2016, MLV ART Consultacy will bring together an exhibition titled “Squirrels jump on the roofs of my eyes, and the threads of early light follow" by Alina Teodorescu. A selection of her diversified forms of medium, from digital prints, oil on canvas, acrylic applied delicately to paper and acrylic galss, will be brought to the Idrima Tsichitzis in Kifissia, Athens Greece to enable the viewer to see a same vibrate rhythm throughout all these works.

In this exhibition Alina explores her full aesthetic arsenal in perfect communion with the space. The work is an interrogation into sins and virtues, lights and shadows, dawn and twilight—a metaphor for questioning the matters of life, as she filters and captures them in her paintings. Being able to live light and playful, while torn by the contrasts within. In this process the fabric of time extends—and even stops, in order to dissect each experience in a myriad of shapes and colours while simultaneously tapping into the symbols of spirituality.

Alina Teodorescu (b. 1982 Slanic Moldova, Romania) is a multimedia artist living and working in London, with an eight years international career in interior design. She studied art and design in Bucharest, Milano and London and from 2012 she dedicated her practice exclusively to painting.
